Crocheted Mini Marker

Saturday, April 2, 2016

I was going through some albums on my computer, and found these pictures. My sister-in-law made these for me a while back, and I guess I totally forgot to write a post on them... Sorry!

We are super big in to disc golf, and love every aspect of the sport. So when any of us pick up a new hobby it usually means we try and incorporate it into disc golf. She was crocheting some scarfs for herself and family members, when we saw some macrame frisbees at an outdoor adventure store.... so in the spirit of do it yourself, why buy it when you can make it!

They turned out awesome and fly amazingly well, its pretty easy to reach 100 plus feet and they can be thrown in the house. As always thanks for stopping by, and be sure to follow!

Walnut Serving Spoon.

Thursday, March 31, 2016

March is the month of Birthdays in this family. This was a gift for my mother-in-law, she really loves wooden spoons so this was the perfect gift... I think? The spoon was hand carved from a one inch piece of walnut I picked up from an Amish mill in Iowa. Spoon carving is something I have been interested in for a while. I have to give the inspiration for this project to Matt Cremona's wife Lindsay , after watching her video I was like " that's a perfect gift idea" so thanks Lindsay!

I finished it with butchers block oil, and sanded it to 1200 grit. All in all i was pretty stoked with the final product, and hope it serves her for years to come. As always thanks for checking out the blog and be sure to follow the blog!

Valentine's Day earrings.

Sunday, February 14, 2016

Well I woke up this mornings realizing I didn't have a present for my wife! So when in need.... go with earrings. I had a few
scrap pieces of maple and walnut laying around, and I love the way maple and walnut complement each other. Needless to say she loves them!

Cypress Knee Floor Lamp

Monday, January 25, 2016

I love this lamp! I had this idea for a cypress knee lamp for a few years, and  ya know how it goes some ideas just never get created. I'm glad this one did! My friend commissioned me for a birthday present for her father, and after a few drinks I told her about this idea... so I got started creating. Its a Bald Cypress knee as the base with a copper stem as the body, pretty simple construction. I am really happy with the final product, and hope you enjoy the pictures.

BTW! I just added a follow button and would love to see those numbers grow, so if your stopping by and checking things out show the love by following!

And as always never stop creating!

Open Book Holder.

Thursday, December 24, 2015

While visiting family in Iowa, I was able to pick up some hardwoods that I unfortunately can not find in Florida. Well I can't find it cheap anyway.

I have seen these on Pinterest and in other media sources, so these are not an original idea... Just a disclaimer.

I made two of these for my wife for Christmas and I'm really happy with the way they turned out, the two toned one is walnut and maple, and the three toned ones are walnut, oak, and, osage.

Thanks for stopping by and never stop creating!
